At first, it was a cultural fascination, but as I learned more about Australia, the drive to see it has been more and more scientifically spurred. A friend of mine recommended that I should watch “The Booth at the End”, so I did. It’s a show that’s surprising in the simplicity of its premise but incredible in the power of its execution. Most cop shows focus more on the crimes than the people solving them. There's a feeling of reveling a bit in brutality. Cop shows don't have to be that way, though. I'm so tired of television stations running ads about how they can't reach a deal with a cable company and their station won't be on cable any more.
